ÁTOA (meaning: at random) are named this way because of their randomly flowing beginning: they created a band and were making music whenever they wanted without any major goals. The band is formed by 4 close friends from Évora and their current reality is very different. Now they have two goals: to make good Portuguese music and to please their audience.
ÁTOA get their inspiration from Portugal’s most renowned pop artists, namely Miguel Araújo, Tiago Bettencourt, António Zambujo and Azeitonas. Mário, the rock lover, also gets inspired by Ornatos Violeta and Diabo na Cruz.
ÁTOA are looking forward to seeing their audiences identifying more and more with their songs and with each band member, and feeling like they are part of their fans lives. They wish they can write songs for many years and somehow leave their mark in Portuguese music.
