“Those who throw objects at the crocodiles will be asked to retrieve them”, the latest project of the composer/multi-instrumentalist Bruno Pernadas, derives from his personal quest about the relation between Nile crocodile worshiping in Egyptian mythology and the Western contemporary human behaviour. This is also the continuation of his previous project “How can we be joyful in a world full of knowledge”, released in 2014 by the record label Pataca Discos. His second album is characterised by the long themes (8 to 15 minutes) and timeless instrumentation and sound, and derives from a creative process that intended to observe real-time composition. “Those who throw objects at the crocodiles will be asked to retrieve them” combines several styles like the west coast jazz of the 70’s, eastern lounge, krautrock, freak folk, pop music, sampling and lo-fi, exotic and soul music electronic processing.
