Despite their different origins and distinct experiences, Frankie Chavez and Peixe are joined by their guitars and the project Miramar.
Peixe stood out twenty years ago by creating the strong, distinct sound of Ornatos Violeta. And this was just the start of a long, rich journey. He then integrated Pluto, participated in the delirious experiences of Zelig, and collaborated with many artists. His two solo albums - “Apneia” and “Motor” were the result of the intense study and exploitation of all the possibilities of his favourite instrument.
Frankie Chavez is becoming more and more renowned since his debut in 2010 as one of the most stimulating artists of his generation. Inspired by Folk, Blues and classic Rock he has taken his music farther and farther - alone or with others - thanks to the very special relation he established with the instrument that was the beginning of this all: his Guitar. Miramar’s music is rich, but never excessive. Coherent, but never repetitive. It’s like a road that we follow in contemplation that is either winding up to the top of the mountain or plane going through the hot, lazy desert. Its taking the sound of the strings echoing in electric or non-electric boxes even farther. It’s like the two of them are just one.
