Francisco Murta was born in Figueira da Foz on August 31, 1998. Life ended up taking him to a piano and that was when his interest in music began to grow until today. He started his piano lessons at 12, had access to classical music, and then something inside him began to change. Curiosity ignited. When he arrived home, he would spend many hours singing and playing his piano and guitar. His curious spirit is still intact. Not only he writes his own lyrics and composes his own songs, but he also plays several instruments: piano, guitar, bass or ukulele. His will to keep on learning led him to Hot Club, in 2016, to explore his voice and piano to a greater extent. It was only when started to give more and more concerts and received remarkably positive feedback that he realised he could dedicate entirely to music. In 2016, he participated in the TV show “The Voice Portugal”, where he reached the final. The single “Rosas”, released in October 2018, was the result of his collaboration with the young Algarve rapper Domi. Also in 2018, he signed a contract with Universal Music Portugal, that will be the record label representing, managing and producing his music. “Porquê” was the first single released by Francisco Murta and Universal Music Portugal.
