Because rock once had a life, it would make no sense to dive in without telling its story - in ten songs. The band Stone Dead complies with the excessive standards of a conceptual record, but without the decadence of a narrative. Tony Blue, their portrayal of rock, is a character who lives each song from the cradle to the grave. Those who said rock is dead have certainly never heard Stone Dead. Despite the irony in this sentence, when listening to “Good Boys”, released in 2017, the audience will be pushed experiencing this journey in Tony Blue’s shoes in one of two ways: whether by entering a black hole that leads right to Woodstock’s PA or by filling the existing gap in Portuguese rock music.
