Born and raised in Quarteira, Élton Mota/Perigo Público has identified and fell in love from a very young with suburban sounds that came from overseas. The same sounds that derived from an atmosphere where the message would always find the perfect destination. He gathered his first rap group during his adolescence. These were times where the national rap movement was taking its first solid steps. He was part of APC (Autonomia para criar), a hip hop band from the Algarve, for several years. But he gained respect and notoriety among his peers and public when we performed solo and participated in improv battles.
Sensitive spectator, nomad, passionate about music and the meaning of words, observer of the mundane, inveterately non-conformist, audacious and incorrigible, his maturity helped him turn his rage and spontaneity into highly dense, refined reflections. His inconsequential improvisation, rhymes and proses became more adult, and careful, but are still as sharp and caustic, and often politically incorrect.
