Following the release of his singles “Auto-retrato” and “Obituário”, Vítor Hugo started his summer with the release of this debut album “Vítor Hugo”, his first album sang in Portuguese. He has been promoting this album nationwide since then.
Born in Aveiro in 1990, Vítor Hugo belongs to a new generation of talented, multi-faceted Portuguese artists and is not only a singer, but also a guitarist and songwriter. He started guitar lessons at the age of 10 and he enrolled at the London Center of Contemporary Music in 2009. He started The Underdogs, when he returned to Portugal, and this band released “Silence” (2011), “Songs for the few” (2012) and “Blame it all on jazz” (2014). He concurrently initiated his career with the Moonshiners, with whom he recorded three albums: “Moonshiners” (2013), “Good news for girls who have no sex-appeal” (2015), “Prohibition Edition” (2018). In 2013, Vítor Hugo released his solo album “The other side of nothing”, as Silent Preacher, his intimate alter ego.
